Putin drives across Crimea bridge in car
On the morning of December 5, traffic was reopened on the automobile part of the Crimea bridge, restored after the explosion in October

Russian leader Vladimir Putin has managed to drive over the partially destroyed Crimean bridge in a Mercedes-Benz car, Russian media report.
He inspected the repair works and listened to the report of the Russian Deputy Prime Minister Marat Khusnullin on the course of restoration. Putin also walked along parts of the bridge to inspect some sections.
The road and rail bridge, connecting southern Russia with the illegally annexed Crimea, was damaged on October 8 in an explosion Russia blames on Ukraine.
On December 5, Russian automobile service reported that “at 10:50 a.m., traffic was diverted to the right side of the road part of the Crimean bridge as part of the restoration work.”
