Putin arrest warrant heralds catastrophic consequences for his regime
Diplomat Yurii Shcherbak believes that the International Court of Justice's decision to issue an arrest warrant for Putin would have catastrophic consequences for his regime, not merely legal ones.
He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV.
"We still don't fully understand the recent event of the International Court of Justice issuing a warrant for Putin's arrest, and its consequences are yet to be seen. It is safe to say that the outcome for Putin will be catastrophic. While legal consequences are not significant at the moment, as no one is arresting Putin, the decision has a deeper meaning for Russia, given their historical "March troubles," explained Scherbak.
The diplomat emphasized that March could be fatal for Russia.
"March has historically been a fateful month for Russia. Ivan the Terrible died in March. Paul I was assassinated in March, and Nicholas I also died in March. Therefore, we can argue that Putin has received a death sentence. Putin, as a political and legal figure, is now deceased. This decision to arrest Putin has turned him into a political corpse," the speaker added.
