Putin and Salazar: dictators let themselves be fooled

18 June, 2023 Sunday

Putin has spoken publicly about how to take over the world without attracting the sanitation workers' attention. Or how to have the power to destroy any building in Kyiv, but to refrain from doing it, because you choose not to, not because you can't

A very informative speech, in fact. Even though it took place during the theater of the absurd at the economic forum. It explains a lot. Including why the Russians were keeping Kyiv residents awake throughout May.

What did Putin's speech make clear? It is for him that the android robot Konashenkov organizes all these daily speeches, during which they report on the destruction of 100,500 HIMARS and millions of mercenaries from Poland.

“It's a one-man show. For Putin. And he believes in it. Everyone else is watching and laughing, but Putin believes.”

And then Putin comes out and says that he destroyed five Patriot systems around Kyiv. Of the two that Ukraine received.

It would seem that the shelling of Kyiv in May made no sense. Saving missiles throughout March and April, only to waste them on meaningless nighttime shelling on the eve of the Ukrainian offensive? Only to have them fired only on a limited basis again in June. It made no sense. If you follow the logic and assume that everyone has enough information.

And what if they don't? If the military shoots and reports to Putin that they have destroyed a lot of important targets. From Patriot to Budanov. Then it makes sense. Then you can repeat it almost every night. Because then you're not just banging your head against Ukrainian air defense, destroying the sleep of Kyiv residents (a kind of military objective), but you're making effective attacks. And of course, you have to repeat them, not sparing scarce missiles. To earn the praise of the dictator again. They will write to him again in his file, and Konashenkov will report on TV about his impressive success.

“They are not shooting to hit. They are shooting to report to Putin that they hit. And thus ensure a comfortable stay for themselves on financial flows.”

This is all very reminiscent of the story of the Portuguese dictator Salazar, who was still ruling at the end of his life, but was no longer in his right mind. And so a single copy of the newspaper was published for him, where everything was great. Including their constant victories in colonial wars. And for Putin, they even appear on television. And in the bunker, the old man is happy that this NATO will soon have no Patriots left.

And then Putin believes in it so much that he himself goes out to embarrass himself with these theses in public. Because he would hardly do this if he thought it was just propaganda for suckers. And from sitting in a bunker for a long time, he awakens a thirst to teach others and all the 'background' comes out. From everyday chauvinism and racism (and they spent a year thinking how to explain the Nazis in Kyiv and the Jewish president and in a year could only come up with this shame) to the destruction of 5 Patriot complexes.

“You can't understand Russia with your mind.” This is true. If you think based on the criteria and coordinates of the civilized world. But if you know the rules of the game, then everything is immediately clear with this Russia.
