Putin and his entourage are protected by air defence, it will be difficult to target them – British expert Grant
Retired British army colonel and military expert Len Grant noted that most Kremlin officials do not want to kill Putin
He said this on the air of the Espreso TV channel.
"We can be sure that Putin and his entourage are protected by air defence systems. So it will be difficult to attack them as individuals. It is much more effective to use weapons systems, practising on key objects. Such as ammunition bases, the Crimean Bridge or other railroad bridges. This will have a strategic effect. Because most of the key Kremlin officials, and I saw a great comment that no one wants to kill Putin, no one. Because he's a useless general, like Gerasimov or Shoigu. They are so bad that, God forbid, after they are removed, someone more clever will come in. Therefore, it is better not to touch them at all, but just let them continue doing what they are doing," Grant emphasised.
The retired British army colonel also added that the Russians do not have enough air defence to protect all military facilities.
"The front line is a problem for Ukraine. But it is also a problem for Russia because it is huge. There are many targets inside Russia, and it's not just the Russian-occupied territories of Crimea and Donbas. There are so many cities in Russia that Ukraine could strike if it wanted to and decided to," Grant said.
