Previously unreported drone missile Bars revealed by Ukraine

This was announced by Ukraine's Minister of Strategic Industries Herman Smetanin during the "Ukrainian Weapons 2024" briefing, reports LIGA.net.

"In 2024, we created cruise missiles and a completely new class of missiles — drone missiles. These are Palyanytsia, Peklo, Ruta, and Bars," he said.

Later, the Ministry of Strategic Industry confirmed to LIGA.net that Bars is a new Ukrainian drone missile. However, no further details have been disclosed so far, the ministry added.

At the same briefing, Smetanin also noted that while Ukraine produced only one type of cruise missile — Neptune — in 2023, in 2024 "a lot of new products" appeared, boosting production by eight times compared to the previous year.
