Last week, the press secretary of the president of the Czech Republic, Jiří Ovčáček, married a Ukrainian woman he housed as a refugee

The Czech tabloid "Blesk" reported the marriage citing two independent sources.

Ovčáček, 43, got married on Friday and is currently on his honeymoon in the Czech Republic. According to the publication, he started seeing his spouse back in spring.

Ovčáček’s wife comes from Ukraine. They met when he offered her housing as part of a refugee aid program. The publication also reports that she has a son of preschool age.
