President's Office responds to Merkel's call for talks with Russia
Advisor to the President's Office, Mykhailo Podolyak, criticized the former Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, for her calls to consider negotiations with the aggressor country

In this way, he reacted to the latest statements by Merkel, who urged not to reject the opinion of those who call for negotiations on ending Russia's war against Ukraine.
"The author of the Minsk-Normandy format says: "We need to think about negotiations, not all peacekeepers think like Putin." One question: negotiations about what? About cheap Russian gas, again? But does it necessarily have to be at the price of the destroyed Ukrainian territories and hundreds of thousands of innocent Ukrainian lives? And most importantly - negotiations with who? With officially recognized international war criminals?" asked Podolyak.
He called on Merkel to stop making excuses and encouraging the aggressor.
"After 430 days of brutal war, is it possible to despise freedom so deeply, ignore Russian mass murders so openly, and hate Ukraine's right to self-defense so openly? If you cannot correct the mistakes of the past, just stop making excuses and encouraging the aggressor," wrote Podolyak.
