Portnikov comments on UN recognizing Russia as sponsor of terrorism

Journalist Vitaly Portnikov shared his opinion on Espreso TV.

According to him, the EU will not introduce more restrictive measures against Russia, because the recognition of Russia as a state sponsor of terrorism is a declarative decision of the European Parliament. And the European Parliament resorts only to those actions with which national governments agree.

"But in any case, every such decision is important, because it is important to desacralize the essence of Russian statehood. If we agree that this is a terrorist organization, we interact with it accordingly."
