Polish and Hungarian border crossings experience complications due to blackouts
As of the morning of November 25, Krakovets, border crossing between Ukraine and Poland, and Kosino, border crossings between Ukraine and Hungary, are experiencing some complications in operation due to power outages
The Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Service of Ukraine shared the information on Facebook, Espreso TV reports.
Due to the restraints, the border crossings may apply temporary suspension of registration of persons and vehicles.
Moreover, only pedestrians are allowed to pass through to Hungary from Ukraine at the Vylok border crossing .
The State Border Guard Service also reminded that due to large-scale damage to critical infrastructure facilities and systematic power outages in Ukraine, electronic systems and databases of control services at checkpoints may periodically malfunction. This, in turn, may cause a temporary slowdown or suspension of transit operations.
Therefore, the service requests this information to be taken into account when planning foreign trips.
