Poland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs outlines NATO's response to a nuclear attack on Ukraine
Poland's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Zbigniew Rau, said that in the event of a Russian nuclear attack on Ukraine, NATO should respond with a devastating blow using conventional weapons.
Rau said this in an interview with NBC.
According to him, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is threatening to use tactical nuclear weapons against Ukraine, not NATO. Therefore, the Alliance should not respond to a possible attack on Ukraine with the use of weapons of mass destruction. Instead, the Alliance must respond with conventional weapons and deal devastating damage to the Russian military.
"But the response has to be devastating. And I think NATO is sending a clear signal to Russia about this," Rau said.
