Poland will receive Patriot missile defense system from Germany next week
Patriot anti-aircraft missile systems from Germany will arrive in Poland next week. About 400 Bundeswehr servicemen will arrive with them
It is reported by Polish Radio with reference to the Deputy Minister of Defense of Poland Wojciech Skurkiewicz.
"Patriot missile systems from Germany will arrive in our country in the coming days," he said.
At the same time, sources of Polish Radio in the Ministry of Defense and the President's Office added that this will happen after the next weekend. It is expected that about 400 soldiers of the Bundeswehr will arrive in Poland in addition to the Patriot systems.
Together with the Patriot systems, German crews will be deployed in the eastern Lublin Voivodeship of Poland. German working groups are already in Poland making final preparations for the arrival of the Patriot crews.
Polish Deputy Defense Minister Wojciech Skurkiewicz told reporters that the Patriot air defense batteries "should be integrated" into the Polish command system.

On November 21, Germany offered Poland an additional Patriot system to protect against potential missile attacks. Polish Defense Minister Mariusz Blaszczak said that he asked Germany to send Patriot to Ukraine instead.

NATO said on November 25 that the decision on the transfer of German Patriot missile defense systems to Ukraine should be made by the governments of the countries. Poland immediately on the same day, after NATO's permission, asked Germany again to deploy Patriot missile defense systems in Ukraine.
