Poland will offer NATO to send peacekeepers to Ukraine

On the eve of the NATO summit to be held on March 24, President Andrzej Duda is holding active meetings with the leaders of states neighboring Ukraine and intends to propose to the Alliance to form a peacekeeping contingent

The President of Poland has recently met with his counterpart from Bulgaria Rumen Radev. After that, he went to Bucharest for talks with Romanian President Klaus Iohannis. On Monday, March 21, Andrzej Duda visited Chisinau, where he met with Moldovan President Maia Sandu.

The talks are part of broader consultations ahead of Thursday's extraordinary NATO summit and a conversation with US President Joe Biden.

In this context, on March 21, President Andrzej Duda received Director of the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) William Burns at the Presidential Palace. US Ambassador Mark Brzezinski also attended the meeting.

Based on the results of these meetings and consultations, President Andrzej Duda will travel to the NATO summit in Brussels on March 24 and present, together with the government, a proposal for a peacekeeping mission in Ukraine.
