Poland must return territories acquired after World War II, repay Russia for restoration - Russian parliament speaker Volodin

The head of Russia's State Duma (parliament), Vyacheslav Volodin, says that Poland should pay for the fact that the Soviet army liberated it from the occupying German forces

On Telegram, the politician said that one third of Polish territories are areas with developed infrastructure, industrial enterprises, and rich natural resources. According to him, these territories became part of Poland allegedly thanks to Russia.

Volodin also said that after World War II, the Soviet people spent more than USD 750 billion on the restoration and development of Poland, according to today's estimates.

He added that Poland allegedly exists only because of Russia. Volodin criticized the Poles for demolishing monuments to Soviet soldiers, closing Russian schools, and allegedly stealing Russian property.

“Poland must return the territories acquired after World War II and reimburse our country for the funds spent on it during the war and postwar years,” he said.

The speaker of the Russian State Duma proposed to ban Polish trucks from traveling through Russian territory.
