Jakub Kumoch wrote about this on Twitter.

“I repeat once again: Ukraine is not to blame for defending itself against Russia and fighting Russian missiles. Ukrainian experts have been admitted to the scene. I thank the US Embassy in Poland and Ukrainian Ambassador Vasyl Zvarych for their cooperation in this very important matter,” he wrote.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said that Ukrainian experts will join the international investigative commission investigating the fall of the rocket fragments on the territory of Poland.

“Yesterday, we insisted that we be included in the joint international investigative commission, and already late in the evening we received confirmation. From the very morning, our experts will go to the place and join this professional team,” the president said.

He also noted that at the moment it is not yet known who is to blame for this incident, and only after the investigation will it be possible to draw conclusions as to how the missile fell on the territory of Poland.

“I don't know what happened. We don't know for sure. The world does not know. But I am sure that it was a Russian missile, I am sure that we fired from air defense systems. But it is impossible to talk about something specifically today - that it was the air defense of Ukraine.  Although we are grateful that no one accuses us, because we are fighting against Russian missiles on our territory,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

  • On November 15, Polish government spokesman Piotr Müller announced the convening of the Committee of the Council of Ministers on National Security and Defense. At the same time, reports appeared in the Polish media about explosions near the border with Ukraine and the death of two people, presumably due to the fall of Russian missiles.

  • Later, the Polish Foreign Ministry announced the Russian origin of the missile that killed two people near the border with Ukraine on November 15.

  • President of Poland Andrzej Duda said that there are no signs that the rocket falling in the Lublin Voivodeship was a deliberate attack on the country.

  • US President Joe Biden told G7 and NATO partners that the explosion in eastern Poland was caused by a Ukrainian air defense missile.

  • Later, Poland announced its readiness to provide Ukrainians with access to the site of the missile crash, but the consent of the United States was required.
