Poland and Ukraine have simultaneously simplified supply of drones for Ukrainian Armed Forces
At the request of the Ukrainian side, Poland has simplified the export of drones to Ukraine - the decision will come into force on Friday, April 28
The press service of the Ministry of Economy reports.
The export of drones will be carried out on the basis of a general permit issued by the Minister of Development and Technology of the Republic of Poland.
For its part, the Ukrainian government has simplified the import of UAVs. At the same time, Ukraine has been working with its partners at all levels to ensure that the relevant simplifications are adopted by them as well.
"Today we have the result of our work. The decision of the Polish government will help speed up the delivery of UAVs to the frontline, strengthen Ukraine's defense capabilities and accelerate the victory over the aggressor," said Taras Kachka, Deputy Minister of Economy and Trade Representative of Ukraine.
According to the decision of the Minister of Development and Technology of the Republic of Poland, a general permit for the export of UAVs to Ukraine can be used by any entity located in Poland (commercial or non-profit organization or a physical person).
The introduction of the general permit eliminates the need to obtain an individual permit for each batch of drones.
It is worth noting that the permit applies only to a certain category of drones specified in the regulation.
At the same time, the general permit is not granted if the exporter or supplier is aware that the specified UAVs may be intended for use in the development, production or exploitation of weapons.
Also, permission is not granted if they are used as parts or components of weapons that were exported without or in violation of the required permit.
