“Points of Invincibility” are developing across Ukraine to support civilians
A new project to support people - Points of Invincibility - is implemented in Ukraine. These are places providing electricity, mobile communication, the Internet, heat, water, medicine.
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced this in his evening address on November 22.
"We are starting our new project - Points of Invincibility - to support people throughout the country. As of today, more than 4,000 such centers are open. Even more are underway. If massive Russian strikes take place again and electricity supply cannot be restored in several hours, then “Points of Invincibility” start operating, providing all basic services. These are electricity, mobile communication and the Internet, heat, water, a first-aid kit. Absolutely free of charge and operating 24 hours a day."
Zelenskyy clarified that such centers will work at all regional and district administrations, as well as at schools, buildings of the State Emergency Service, etc.
"Local authorities are tasked with ensuring that people are informed about the existence of Points of Invincibility. It should be very simple: governmental buildings, pharmacies, shops, post offices should provide information about where a person can find support in the event of a long-term power outage," Zelenskyy noted.
On the special website nezlamnist.gov.ua there is a map of such points throughout Ukraine, which is constantly updated. Both on the website and in the Points of Invincibility one will be able to find out where the nearest gas station, bank, pharmacy, store, etc. are open. In addition, the website has a special form for business representatives who want to join the initiative and become a Point of Invincibility for Ukrainians.
According to Zelenskyy, there are already entrepreneurs who have decided to support their community, join the initiative and make a Point of Invincibility on the basis of their business’ building equipped with generators, Starlinks, water etc.
