Personnel from Russian Kalinin nuclear power plant arrive at occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP
Invading Russian forces have brought personnel from the Kalinin nuclear power plant to the occupied Zaporizhzhia NPP, but Ukrainian instructors have refused to cooperate with them
Energoatom reports that nuclear engineers from the Kalinin NPP (Tver region of Russia), including reactor control engineers, shift supervisors, and electricians, arrived to work at the seized Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant. The Russian specialists were offered contracts for six months and allowed to bring their families to Enerhodar.
“The invaders promise them training on a full-scale simulator. But the Ukrainian instructors who are supposed to train them on it refused to work for the enemy, and the Russians blocked their access to jobs,” the Ukrainian company said in a statement.
“One way or another, there is no way for Russian 'guest workers' to improve their skills now,” they added.
Energoatom called on Zaporizhzhia NPP personnel to continue refusing to cooperate with the occupying forces to prevent them from using the plant for their own purposes.
