"People cried, thanked God that we came": Ukrainian Armed Forces' 80th Brigade soldiers describe liberating Izyum

"People cried when they saw our defenders in their city. They hugged the paratroopers and everyone had one question: "why so long?!" - said a soldier of the 80th separate airborne assault brigade of the Armed Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Now the city is almost completely destroyed by Russian invaders. So the military tries to help civilians in every possible way: they share food, distribute the Internet, help solve other household problems.

"For the first time in six months, local people can go to the streets of Izyum without fear. The airborne assault troops assure that Russian occupier will not set foot on the land of Kharkiv Oblast again. Currently, our soldiers continue to carry out combat tasks to liberate the territories temporarily occupied by the enemy and destroy the enemies of Ukraine!", the Command notes.
