Military correspondent, volunteer, and founder of the Postpravda.Info portal, Piotr Kaszuwara, expressed this opinion in the project Europeans with Lesia Vakuliuk on Espreso TV.

“Unfortunately, I still think that people are not aware of how important propaganda is. Fifty percent of the war is an information war, and fifty percent is a war of armies, tanks, planes, bombs, and all that. If society does not give permission to send tanks into another country, no government will do it. Jessikka Aro, a Finnish reporter who wrote about Johan Bäckman, Janus Putkonen, and all these propagandists in Donbas, wrote a book called Putin’s Trolls and conducted investigations into when Russian propaganda started to take effect,” he noted.

Piotr Kaszuwara emphasized that it is extremely necessary for governments to support anti-propaganda projects.

“And she found documents in Germany from 1950, when the KGB decided that in order to wage a war against the West someday, the first thing to do was to change the assessments and opinions of Russian society itself. That was the very first thing they decided, and they carried it out for a very long time. I don’t even know now how to counter it. What is definitely needed is support from the government, official politicians, the system, and projects like Postpravda. There are many such projects,” the media expert emphasized.
