Pentagon is supporter of supplying F-16 to Ukraine
Serhiy Zgurets, CEO of the Defense Express military expert group, noted that without a supply of powerful aircraft, it is extremely difficult to ensure superiority on the battlefield.
He said this on Espreso TV channel.
"Pentagon is a supporter of the decision to supply F-16s to Ukraine. This is evidenced by a number of publications in American newspapers and magazines, which say that a list of Ukrainian pilots who must undergo training has already been determined. But the time frame is another component of this conditional problem," Zgurets noted.
According to the expert, both Poland, the Netherlands, and other countries understand that without the supply of powerful aircraft, it is extremely difficult to ensure superiority on the battlefield.
"The issue of air defense, the issue of support for ground offensive operations is related precisely to the aviation component, which can be provided by foreign fighters. The political, diplomatic, expert component will influence the acceleration of the decision to supply aircraft to Ukraine," Zgurets added.
