Pentagon estimates Russian army losses and number of killed Ukrainian civilians

Mark Milley, the chairman of the US Joint Chiefs of Staff, has made the statement regarding the numbers, the BBC reports.

"You're looking at well over 100,000 Russian soldiers killed and wounded. Same thing probably on the Ukrainian side.There has been a tremendous amount of suffering, human suffering," Milley said during a speech at the Economic Club of New York.

Milley also reported that, according to his estimates, about 40 thousand peaceful citizens of Ukraine were killed.

Milley did not specify how he had obtained this data.
