This was announced by an official representative of the US Department of Defense, Bloomberg reports.
According to the Pentagon spokesperson, Russia did not conduct any intercontinental ballistic missile tests while Biden visited Kyiv. Moreover, Russia had warned the US in advance of the launch in accordance with its obligations under the New START treaty before it became known that Biden was visiting Ukraine.
Such a test is routine and did not come as a surprise, the outlet notes. The US did not consider the test a threat to itself or its allies, the Pentagon spokesman added.
