Military expert, peacekeeping mission participant, and reserve colonel of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Serhiy Hrabskyi, says the intensity of fighting and attempts by Russian troops to advance have increased at the front, though they are working with limited resources

He shared the information on Espreso TV.

"In the areas around Kotlyarivka and Zaporizhzhia in the Donetsk region, if we're talking about the enemy’s advance, it can't be called active. It's more like constant pressure on a specific section of the front — within the operation they’re carrying out, and within the resources they currently have. And those resources are pretty limited because of active combat by Ukraine’s Defense Forces," Hrabskyi said.

The military expert stressed that over the past week, both the fighting and Russia troops' push forward have intensified noticeably.

"Even so, overall, the situation hasn’t changed dramatically," Hrabskyi added.

  • Since the morning of April 16, there have been 125 combat clashes along the Russian-Ukrainian front. In the Pokrovsk direction alone, Russian forces attempted to push forward 29 times.
  • Analysts from DeepState confirmed that Russian troops have advanced in the Donetsk region, especially near Kotlyarivka and Zaporizhzhia.
