Over 20 missiles shot down in the Kyiv region

The Kyiv City Military Administration (KCMA) said that Ukrainian air defense forces destroyed over 20 missiles during the air attack. The debris from the intercepted missiles caused significant damage to a 24-story building in the Solomyanskyi district of the capital, resulting in the destruction of several floors and a fire.

Two people died as a result of the falling debris. Eight people were injured, 2 were hospitalized. Others were provided with medical aid on the spot. In addition, about 40 cars parked near the building were damaged. The Ministry of Internal Affairs added that the death toll from the falling debris has risen to 3.

Mykhailo Shamanov, a spokesman for the KCMA, told Espreso TV about the ongoing efforts to assist people who lost their homes as a result of the night attack.

"People who lost their homes will be temporarily resettled in a hostel or boarding house. Later, experts will assess whether it will be possible to allow people to return to their original residence," he said.
