Over 15 combat clashes occur in frontline, Ukrainian forces deliver 9 strikes on Russian strongholds – General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported this on Facebook. 

Over the day, missile and artillery units struck 5 military positions, 12 artillery pieces at firing positions, 2 munitions depots, 2 command posts, as well as an enemy anti-aircraft missile system.

Russia launched 2 missile strikes, 34 airstrikes at the Ukrainian positions

During the day, the invading Russian forces launched 2 missile strikes, 34 airstrikes, and 42 attacks with multiple launch rocket systems at the Ukrainian troops' positions and populated areas. Unfortunately, Russian terrorist attacks have resulted in civilian casualties and injuries. Residential buildings and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed.

Frontline situation

Near the state Ukrainian border with Russia and Belarus, the situation hasn't changed significantly, and no enemy offensive groups have been detected. 

At the same time, the Russian army continued shelling the entire borderline with mortars and artillery: over 20 settlements across the Chernihiv, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were attacked. 

Russian attacks in other Ukrainian regions

• In the Kupyansk direction, 2 settlements of the Kharkiv region came under artillery shelling. 

• In the Lyman direction, over 10 settlements in the Luhansk and Donetsk regions came under Russian fire. 

• In the Bakhmut direction, over 15 localities in the Donetsk region were attacked by the invading Russian forces. 

• In the Avdiivka direction, more than 5 settlements in the Donetsk region were attacked. 

• In the Maryinka direction, over 5 settlements in the Donetsk region came under shelling. 

• In the Shakhtarsk direction, over 10 localities in the Donetsk region were shelled. 

• In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, over 25 towns and villages were subjected to numerous attacks by the occupying Russian army. 

At the same time, the Ukrainian Defense Forces continue to conduct an offensive operation in the Melitopol area, consolidate their positions, and carry out counter-battery measures.

• On Saturday, September 2, the Russian army struck Odradokamyanka, Kherson region, with guided missiles, killing a man and injuring two others.
