On the right bank of the Dnipro, the Russians were thrown 70 km from Kyiv, Deputy Chief of Staff of the Command of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine
The Russian army was pushed back from Kyiv on the right bank of the Dnipro to a distance of 70 km.
Deputy Chief of Staff of the Command of the Land Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Brigadier General Oleksandr Gruzevych reported this at the briefing, UNIAN informs.
He said the capture of Kyiv is one of the most important strategic tasks for the invaders.
“We have completely thwarted the opponent`s plans. Today on the right bank of the river (Dnipro) the invaders are stopped for almost 70 km and the outer ring strip is widened to 70 km, which makes it impossible to fire on Kiev, except for missiles. There was a slight advance on the left bank, but now we have eliminated it. So be calm. But they switched to the second tactic: they are cynically shooting at our infrastructure,” Gruzevich said.
Also he said every city near Kyiv is preparing as a resistance node.
“I can assure you that the invaders will not go any further. They will be stopped. All communities unanimously declare that they will not let the opponent go any further," Gruzevych emphasized.
He said a group of troops had been set up to defend Kyiv and the Kyiv region.
“Two circles of defense have been created, in which the invaders are stopped and have no success. In some areas, namely Brovary and Boryspil, they have refused to take active offensive action,” Gruzevych said.
