Ukrainian diplomat explains why Republicans are blocking military aid to Ukraine
Former Ukrainian Foreign Minister (2007-2009), head of the Center for Russian Studies Volodymyr Ohryzko believes that Republicans are clearly speculating on the fact that Democrats failed to help Ukraine turn the tide of the war
He expressed this opinion on Espreso TV channel.
"The Republicans are clearly speculating that the Democrats failed to help Ukraine turn the tide of the war throughout 2023. And frankly, they are right. If we had not received weapons in such microscopic batches if we had not waited several months for the delivery of the next batch of weapons that we desperately need, then perhaps today there would be no claims to Biden from the Republicans that they do not know where American money goes, how it is used, and why there are no results," Ohryzko explained. According to the diplomat, the Biden Administration also needs to understand that it cannot continue the game - Ukraine does not lose and Russia does not win.
"The Biden administration finally needs to be clear that if Ukraine is winning, it means that it must have all the necessary tools to do so. Unfortunately, it does not have all these tools yet. And Republicans are asking Democrats why: Why? To a certain extent, this is support for us, although we should not interfere in their political disputes in any way. In America, as in any other country, they love winners," emphasized Ohryzko.
