Official of Crimean occupation ministry is imprisoned for 12 years in Lviv

In Lviv, an official of the so-called "Ministry of Economic Development of the Republic of Crimea" has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for treason

This is reported by Ukraine's Security Service (SBU).

Such a sentence was pronounced by the Halytskyi District Court of Lviv. A collaborator from Crimea, who was detained by border guards and SBU officers while trying to flee to Poland back in April 2022, was convicted of treason.

“They disrupted the woman's plan to escape across the border from the EU to Belarus and later to Russia. At the same time, she was informed of the suspicion of treason and chose a preventive measure in the form of detention,” the SBU said.

According to the collected evidence, the traitor was a top-ranking official in the so-called "Ministry of Economic Development" of Crimea during 2014-2021.

“The collaborator personally contributed to the introduction of the occupation regime in the region and openly supported the crimes of the Russian military and the aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine,” Ukraine's State Border Guard Service added.
