Odesa residents' patriotism and consciousness don't meet Russia's expectations
The Operational Command South has noted that the Russian saboteurs didn't expect such a level of patriotism among the Odesa region residents.
The Operational Command South (OC South) shared the insight in their evening report.
Situation in Odesa region
The situation in the Odesa region is stable. Counter-sabotage measures result not only in quantitative but also qualitative indicators. The level of patriotism and consciousness among the population of the region doesn't meet the expectations of saboteurs. Communities have intensified discussions on renaming streets, alleys, squares, squares and other facilities. The locals intend to return the streets to historical names that are tied to specific areas, to give them names in honor of prominent Ukrainian figures of the past, as well as heroes of the modern era.
Situation at Kakhovka HPP
At the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, where the Russian Southern Military District control point is located, the Russians aren't making any efforts to maintain the proper regime of the facility, which could lead to an environmental catastrophe. The station doesn't have two hydraulic units, which the Russians don't allow to repair. This has already led to the flooding of Kakhovka, threatening nearby villages.
Situation in Mykolaiv area
On May 26, 14 civilians were injured in the Russian shelling. Mykolaiv and Bashtansky districts had the most blows. There are dead. On the Bereznehuvaty outskirts, two women who were just grazing cows came under fire, one of them died.
Situation in Black Sea
Russian ship groups in the Black Sea continue to keep the south and other regions of Ukraine at risk of missile strikes. Russia is likely to use missile systems from the Crimea and strategic aviation.
