Number of Russian troops increased in Mariupol and district

Petro Andriushchenko, an advisor to the mayor of Mariupol, notes that Russian forces have been bringing mobilized and contract soldiers to training grounds, who, after a week of training, are deployed into "meat assaults" towards Berdiansk or to the north

He shared the information on Espreso TV.

"In fact, there are many occupiers' bases in Mariupol and the region. If you count, up to 35,000 Russian troops are on the territory of our city and district. Many of them are located on the coast of the Azov Sea, for some reason they are very fond of recreation centers and boarding houses there. They occupied everything they could, blocking people's access to the sea. There are at least three training grounds where they train enemy soldiers. One of the training grounds, which is located on the border of Berdiansk and Mariupol districts, trains Russian soldiers from the Azov Sea coast and those who are brought from the Berdiansk direction. There are a lot of occupiers, and their number has increased recently. We can see that Russian marines have entered, at least they look like that from their uniforms and chevrons, and they are based in one of the villages," said the advisor to the mayor of Mariupol.

Petro Andriushchenko added that they have been bringing in mostly "frank meat" lately, i.e. mobilized or contract soldiers who are kept for about a week at training grounds and then thrown into various "meat assaults" either to the north or towards Berdiansk. The total number of Russian troops remains the same, but they are constantly rotating.
