Number of combat clashes reaches top levels - military expert Zgurets
Defense Express CEO and military expert Serhiy Zgurets noted that compared to previous weeks, last week was extremely difficult, the number of combat clashes increased by a third
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
"If we look at the statistics, last week was extremely difficult compared to previous weeks. The number of hostilities increased by about a third. As of yesterday, December 10, the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces reports that there were 98 combat clashes, which is almost the top figure. Over the past four days, 100 combat clashes per day characterize the maximum tension in many parts of the frontline," commented Defense Express CEO.
Zgurets noted that 45 out of 98 combat clashes over the last day took place near Avdiivka, which is one of the hottest spots in the frontline.
"The enemy is conducting offensive actions almost along the entire frontline. In my opinion, this is the enemy's third attempt to replay the results of 2022. The enemy had a similar massive offensive campaign starting in February 2023, when the Russian army tried to advance in many directions: Kupyansk, Svatove, Kreminna, Avdiivka, Marinka, Bakhmut. And now the enemy is trying to conduct offensive actions in almost the same areas. The front line does not change systematically, but we understand that the enemy is trying to achieve some symbolic victories in certain areas of the front in the near future," Zgurets summarized.
