"Not our war": East German manufacturers call on Chancellor to lift all sanctions against Russia

This was reported by Der Spiegel with reference to a letter from the East German Manufacturers Association.

"We, as masters, know from many conversations with our clients that the vast majority are not ready to sacrifice their hard-earned standard of living for the sake of Ukraine. This is not our war!", they appeal to Sholtz. 

The trade association of the Halle-Saalekreis district in Saxony-Anhalt called on Chancellor Olaf Scholz to lift all sanctions against Russia. 16 signatories call for negotiations on ending the war against Ukraine.

In addition, Scholz is asked if he "wants to be the Chancellor who destroyed Germany and sacrificed his country".
