No champagne in Moscow tonight - diplomat Ohryzko on Biden's run for second term
With its victories, Ukraine must help Biden become president, and he will help us
This opinion was expressed by Volodymyr Ohryzko, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in 2007-2009, diplomat, in the Verdict with Serhiy Rudenko program on Espreso TV channel.
"I won't be mistaken if I say that there will be no champagne drinking in Moscow today. Most likely, there will be poisonous comments about Biden, and this is predictable. Because the Russians realize that with Biden, unlike Trump, they will not have anything going for them during his second term. Biden will continue his line that we must win. If democracy loses, the world will become a scary place, it will become different," Ohryzko emphasized.
According to the diplomat, Biden will need a victory in his decisive battle for a second presidential term.
"Biden needs a foreign policy action that he can use in his election campaign, and this can work in our favour. When Ukraine achieves its goals, namely the expulsion of the Russian occupier, when Russia is weakened and never threatens its neighbours again, it would be hard to find a better foreign policy gift for Biden. NATO is getting stronger and stronger. With our victories, we must help Biden become president, and he will help us," Ohryzko emphasised.
