Ukrainian Navy reveals how many warships Russia repairs in Crimea
Russia has slashed the number of ships it keeps docked in temporarily occupied Crimea. Only those that lacked space at their home bases in Russia remain there.
Ukrainian Navy spokesman Dmytro Pletenchuk stated this during a telethon.
"They have reduced this number (of ships in the ports of Crimea - ed.) to a minimum. Most of them are those units that did not find a place in the basing points of Novorossiysk, Sochi, Tuapse," Pletenchuk said.
According to him, the Russian forces are keeping a small missile ship "Tsiklon" in Crimea.
"This ship is supposed to be a cruise missile carrier, but it is used to cover air defense. This is the ship that has never been able to launch a missile... The Russians were forced to relocate their assets to Novorossiysk, including their cruise missile carriers," the navy spokesman said.
