According to Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Poland, Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, this year’s celebrations will be record-breaking in terms of participants and equipment.

About 4,000 military personnel, nearly 300 units of equipment, 50 aircraft, and 20 ships will take part in the event. Around a hundred soldiers from allied countries will also join the parade.

The minister personally took part in the parade rehearsal and emphasized that the celebrations have not only historical significance. In his opinion, it is "a marker for the future because the threat always comes from the same direction."

"Whether it was an empire, the Soviet Union, or now the Russian Federation — the methods are always the same, so all the more reason to show our strength," he added.

Kosiniak-Kamysz noted that the military parade will take place simultaneously in Warsaw and on the Hel Peninsula, where the navy will demonstrate its skills.

"The general rehearsal before the big parade for Polish Armed Forces Day is already behind us. Let’s show everyone how our army is changing — it will become the most modern and best organized in Europe. See you next Friday — in Warsaw, on the Baltic, in our cities or in front of screens. Let’s celebrate together with our soldiers, let’s celebrate together for Poland," Kosiniak-Kamysz wrote on his Instagram page.

  • In Poland, from February 2 to April 30, 2026, a large-scale military qualification will take place: about 235,000 people, both men and women, will be summoned for military service.
