Russia claims attack on port Kavkaz, Krasnodar Krai
Russian authorities have reported an alleged Ukrainian drone attack on the morning of Tuesday, July 23, on the port of Kavkaz, Krasnodar Krai
Governor Veniamin Kondratyev made the statement.
“This morning, drones attacked a ferry ship in the port of Kavkaz. Emergency services are now working at the scene. The fire is local, there is no threat of fire spread,” Kondratyev wrote.
According to him, there are injured and dead among the crew and port employees.
The Crimean Wind telegram channel also wrote that ambulances and firefighters were heading toward the port of Kavkaz.
Earlier, the Crimean Wind Telegram channel reported a "very loud" explosion in the temporarily occupied city of Kerch.
The Highway Information Center reported on the situation on the road approaches to the Crimean bridge.
"Vehicular traffic on the Crimean bridge is temporarily blocked. Those who are on the bridge and in the inspection area are asked to remain calm and follow the instructions of transport security officers," the statement says.
At the same time, the Crimean Wind Telegram channel reported a "very loud" explosion in the temporarily occupied city of Kerch.
In addition, on the night of July 23, the Russian-installed governor of Sevastopol, Mikhail Razvozhayev, reported that air defense forces and electronic warfare units allegedly repelled a UAV attack in Sevastopol.
"According to preliminary information, the military destroyed more than 15 drones over the water area in the Northern side and Fiolent," the so-called governor wrote.
The Russian Defense Ministry also reported the alleged destruction of two UAVs over the Bryansk and two over the Belgorod regions. In addition, the ministry added that 21 UAVs were allegedly shot down over the territory of occupied Crimea and the Black Sea.
