138 clashes occur at front, Russian army advances in Kurakhove direction - Ukraine's General Staff

The Ukrainian Armed Forces' General Staff reported as of 8:00 a.m. on September 14.

On September 13, Russia launched a missile attack on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements using one missile, as well as 82 air strikes, dropping 105 guided bombs. In addition, it carried out more than 4,000 attacks, including 131 from multiple launch rocket systems.

"Yesterday, the aviation, missile troops and artillery of the Defense Forces conducted eight strikes on the Russian manpower and weapons concentration areas, as well as on the control center, S-300 radar and two air defense systems," the General Staff added.

Frontline situation

In the Kharkiv sector, four battles took place. Ukraine’s Defense Forces repelled enemy assaults near Vovchansk, Hatyshche, Hlyboke, and Lyptsi.

In the Kupyansk sector, 11 firefights took place near Synkivka, Hlushkivka, Lozova, Petropavlivka, Novoosynove, and Stelmakhivka.

In the Lyman sector, the Russian army attacked 24 times near Kopanky, Hrekivka, Tverdokhlibove, Makiivka, Nevske, Yampolivka, Torske, and Bilohorivka.

Three firefights took place in the Siversk sector. Ukrainian troops repelled Russian assaults near Verkhniokamianske, Spirne, and Vyimka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, there were four combat engagements in the areas of Chasiv Yar and Andriivka.

In the Toretsk sector, Russians attacked six times near Dachne, Toretsk, and Nelipivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled 28 enemy assaults in the areas of Zelene Pole, Vozdvyzhenka, Novooleksandrivka, Myroliubivka, Novotroitske, Selydove, Mykhailivka, Novohrodivka, and Hrodivka.

In the Kurakhove sector, the Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 43 Russian attacks in the direction of Ukrainske, Zhelanne Persha, Heorhiivka, Kostiantynivka, and Katerynivka.

In the Vremivka sector, Russia attacked ten times near Katerynivka, Vuhledar, and Zolota Nyva.

In the Prydniprovskyi sector, the Russian army was defeated, attacking Ukrainian defenses five times.

In the Orikhiv and Huliaipole sectors, the situation has not changed much.

On the border with Belarus, no signs of enemy offensive groups were detected.

On the border with the Chernihiv and Sumy regions, Russia maintains a military presence, conducting mortar and artillery shelling of settlements from its territory.

"At the same time, Ukrainian soldiers continue to actively inflict significant losses in manpower and equipment on the invading forces, exhausting the enemy along the entire combat line," the General Staff emphasized.

• Over the past day, the invading Russian forces lost dozens of units of their equipment and 1,210 soldiers on the Russian-Ukrainian front.
