Great Britain transferred 4 more M270 anti-aircraft guns to Ukraine

New M270 missile launcher systems arrived in Ukraine from Great Britain.  These systems can be called the "older brother" of the HIMARS air defense system. The M270 anti-aircraft missile allows you to simultaneously launch 12 missiles. Yesterday, the Minister of Great Britain, Ben Wallace, announced the supply of such MLRS, and today this information was confirmed by the Minister of Defense of Ukraine, Oleksiy Reznikov.  So, now Ukraine has 25 HIMARS and M270 MLRS, which can simultaneously destroy 204 targets at a distance of 80 km.  However, if Ukraine receives ATACMS missiles, the distance to hit the enemy will increase to 300 km.

Russian Su-35 fighters demonstrated extremely low survivability in Ukrainian sky

Oleksiy Gromov, Deputy Chief of the Main Operational Department of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, reported that during the week, the Air Defense of Ukraine destroyed 27 air targets. He also noted that the newest Russian Su-35 fighter jets demonstrated extremely low survivability in Ukrainian skies. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the invaders have lost as many as two squadrons of Su-35 fighters. In total, more than 100 such aircraft were manufactured in Russia, 24 of which have already been destroyed in Ukraine. In total, to date, the Armed Forces of Ukraine have destroyed 233 Russian aircraft.  Such losses in combat aviation are colossal for Russia. To cope with significant losses in aviation, the Russians are trying to return the outdated Su-24 bombers to the ranks of their army. The Su-24 was decommissioned in the Russian Federation back in 2005.  However, the same fate awaits the Su-24 as the planes that were destroyed on August 9 at the military airfield near the village of Novofedorivka.

Russia transferred 4 MiG-31 fighters from the Krasnodar region to the Belbek military airfield

Various sources report that 8 to 24 units of military aircraft were destroyed at the military airfield near Novofedorivka. These are mainly Su-30 fighters and Su-24MR scouts. Space photos of the airfield confirm significant losses of the Russians.  However, the intrigue of who exactly struck the blow still remains. The Russians have not yet commented on this situation. Although today it became known that the Rashists changed the commander of the Black Sea Fleet. By the way, when the cruiser "Moskva" was sunk, the commander of the Black Sea Fleet was not changed in Russia. The change of commander confirms the numerous losses of the Russians after the strike near Novofedorivka. However, it seems that the Russians are still preparing for revenge for the attack on the Saki military airfield. The Russian Federation transferred 4 MiG-31 fighters from the Krasnodar territory to the Belbek military airfield. These fighters are carriers of hypersonic missiles Kinjal. If the MiG-31, as the only carrier of Kinjal missiles, appeared at the Belbek airfield, then Ukraine has every opportunity to repeat the successful intrigue with the destruction of the 43rd Air Regiment in Saky.

Scandal surrounding the leak of information in top military leadership

The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his address dated August 11, called on representatives of the authorities and the military not to divulge details of Ukraine's defense plans. Before that, Deputy Minister of Defense of Ukraine Hanna Malyar noted that the military should not talk about the plans of the Armed Forces, and journalists should not ask about them. She also reminded that there is criminal liability for information disclosed by the military and that the Security Service investigates such leaks of important information. Several mass media outlets have published the names of those who are likely to be investigated by the Service. Some mentioned General Dmytro Marchenko, others General Serhii Kryvonos. General Dmytro Marchenko said that Ukraine plans to de-occupy Kherson and should complete the active phase of the war by the end of the year, if we have the required amount of weapons.  According to Marchenko, small batches of Western military aid are now arriving in Ukraine, which makes it difficult to carry out counteroffensive actions. General Serhiy Kryvonos spoke quite harshly about the loss of Southern Ukraine in the first days of the war and about the influence of political power on the military. Actually, neither General Marchenko nor General Krivonos said anything new. However, it is believed that they said something superfluous. This unexpected attention to the interview of one of the generals produces a field of uncertainty and once again raises the question of finding formats for covering the war and predicting it in order not to come across attention from the Service. We will continue to monitor this situation. However, if we proceed from this situation, we can use and take information only from foreign sources.
