New weapons package from Germany: 10 Leopard 1, RML-4D radar system
On Wednesday, the German government reported the supply of another package of military aid to Ukraine, including Leopard 1A5 tanks and the TRML-4D airborne surveillance radar system

According to an update to the list of German military aid to Ukraine, 10 Leopard 1A5 main battle tanks were delivered over the past week, in addition to 10 earlier, and one more TRML-4D air surveillance radar to the two already available.
The TRML-4D uses the latest AESA radar technology capable of detecting, tracking and classifying various types of airborne targets, focusing on small, fast and low-flying and/or maneuverable cruise missiles and aircraft, as well as hovering helicopters.
Germany has also provided Ukraine with 16 Vector reconnaissance drones, bringing the total to 104, four 8x8 HX81 truck tractor trains and four semi-trailers, more than 13 million rounds of ammunition and a field hospital.
Last week, Germany announced a new package of military aid to Ukraine, including missiles for the Patriot air defense system.
Germany’s assistance to Ukraine
Germany has been providing military assistance to Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale war. In particular, Ukrainian soldiers are receiving German armored vehicles, including Leopard 2 tanks and Marder infantry fighting vehicles.
On March 24, Germany handed over machine guns, engineering vehicles, and anti-drone systems to Ukraine.
In April, the country sent another military aid package to Ukraine, which included trucks, reconnaissance drones, and ammunition.
On May 14, Germany announced a new EUR 2.7 billion aid package for Ukraine, which included 4 IRIS-T-SLM anti-aircraft missile systems, 30 Leopard tanks, and 20 Marder infantry fighting vehicles. On May 23, the country handed over a TRML-4D air defense radar, Vector reconnaissance drones, and more.
On July 13, Germany handed over Gepard anti-aircraft guns and fire control stations for IRIS-T to Ukraine.
On July 21, Germany announced a new military aid package for Ukraine, which for the first time includes Leopard tanks, machine guns, artillery shells, and other necessary weapons.
On July 29, Germany announced a new batch of military aid for Ukraine, including Gepard self-propelled anti-aircraft guns and ammunition.
On August 17, Ukraine received another package of military aid from Germany, which includes IRIS-T air defense systems.
On August 24, Germany announced the supply of missiles for the Patriot air defense system, 10 drone detection systems, 40 RQ-35 HEIDRUN reconnaissance drones, 16 Zetros trucks, and 510,000 rounds of ammunition to Ukraine.
