Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov has become the Innovator of the Year according to the Future of Government Awards, for his contribution to Ukraine's digitalization
Ukraine's Ministry of Digital Transformation reported this.
It is noted that this is a new global awards program to recognize people and projects that are engaged in the digital transformation of governments around the world. The Digital Innovator of the Year Award is awarded to civil servants who successfully advocate for the digitization of the board. Fedorov received an award for creating a “State in a smartphone” in Ukraine.
“In Ukraine, the Ministry of Digital Transformation was established in 2019 and Mykhailo Fedorov was appointed minister to lead the digital transformation of the country. He is also the youngest minister in the political history of Ukraine. His immediate priority was to create the "State in a smartphone" — so people could communicate directly with the state via their smartphones,” it is stated on the website of the award.
The Ministry of Digital Transformation noted that revolutionary global solutions for Ukraine continue to be created even under shelling and in the conditions of “the world's first cyber war.”
