Most likely, Putin's double delivered speech in Luzhniki – Piontkovsky
Putin has nothing to oppose the collective West, Russia is already among the pariahs
This was stated by Washington-based political scientist Andrei Piontkovsky on Espreso TV’s Studio West with Antin Borkovskyi programme.
"The most interesting performance in Luzhniki was the appearance of the Pantsir air defense missile to protect Putin personally during his 5-minute speech. He did not stay long. He seemed to be afraid of Ukrainian missiles, covid, and the cold. And most likely it was a double, he mumbled something about "Motherland" and fled. State employees and those willing to get 500 rubles were taken to Luzhniki. Those who were lucky warmed themselves in the toilets, which were filled to capacity, while the rest waited for several hours in the 15-degree frost. This is all that Putin was able to counterbalance against the collective West," Piontkovsky emphasized.
According to the political scientist, Russia and Putin have already been relegated to the category of final pariahs.
"And it's not just Biden and his speeches in Kyiv and Warsaw. The last week was a week of colossal triumph for Ukrainian diplomacy, which was primarily led by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. This is Zelenskyy's triumphant visit to European capitals. The two days of the Munich conference included a brilliant speech by US Vice President Kamala Harris. She officially, on behalf of the US, accused Russia and its military and political leadership of systematically committing crimes against humanity. And she vowed, just as Biden did in Warsaw, that the US would do everything to ensure that the perpetrators were punished. This was the relegating Russia and Putin to the category of final pariahs," Piontkovsky added.
