More than 400 people are missing in Gostomel, military administration said
In Gostomel Kyiv region more than 400 people are missing during the occupation of the village by Russian military
This was stated by the head of the Gostomel village military administration Taras Dumenko, Public Radio reports.
"During 35 days of occupation, we have more than 400 missing people. We are currently inspecting basements of Gostomel together with SES and police. We have about 1,200 residents, whose connection has been confirmed and who inform us about the whereabouts of certain people who left ", - he emphasized.
In Gostomel, occupiers killed the head of the village Yuriy Prilipko together with volunteers Ruslan Karpenko and Ivan Zorya, their bodies were found. However, not many people were found in the village.
"Further in the villages of our community were found shot bodies, killed residents. Also, several residents of our community were found in Bucha," - said Taras Dumenko.
The head of the village military administration noted that Russians were moving people.
"We have confirmed evidence that people from Hlibivka came to Gostomel and then contact with them was lost. But we must understand that occupiers also covered the traces of their crimes," he said.
According to Taras Dumenko, there is confirmation, photo-video recording of deaths of residents, but their bodies are still being searched.
"You could move in the direction of Gostomel, and along the road there were shot cars with bodies, including children. And you could go back, and these bodies were no there anymore," - added the head of the village military administration.
He said that Ukrainian military protected civilians as much as possible and did not strike, unlike Russians.
"Occupiers hid their equipment in people's gardens, in houses. Many fences were demolished, traces of how they hid behind the civilian population can be seen. It was happening every day," Taras Dumenko explained.
