Russian propaganda launches new fake about mobilization of ethnic Ukrainians in Canada

Russian resources are spreading a fake statement that Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said that Ukraine plans to mobilize 30,000 ethnic Ukrainians in Canada, and has already sent a request to the Canadian government.

"In fact, the official did not say this. Russian propaganda is spreading this narrative to intimidate Canadians. According to the propagandists, this should significantly reduce the level of support for Ukraine from the Canadian population. The Russian propaganda also tries to discredit Ukraine and its authorities with such lies," explains the Centre for Countering Disinformation.
