Ukraine reveals where Russia relocates Black Sea Fleet ships from Crimea
Dmytro Pletenchuk, head of the Strategic Communications Center for the Southern Defense Forces, says that Russia is actively relocating Black Sea Fleet ships away from occupied Crimea
He shared the information on Espreso TV.
“As of now, I can confirm that two Russian Black Sea Fleet missile boats are moving from their base in the temporarily occupied Crimea. Before that, five other vessels were relocated from the peninsula. In particular, these are mine sweepers. They are taken to different locations,” Pletenchuk said.
Pletenchuk noted that so far Russia is able to relocate its ships by surface.
“The occupiers are moving the Black Sea Fleet ships to Krasnodar Krai and Novorossiysk. They are accompanied at sea by a submarine that does not carry cruise missiles. Therefore, the situation is stable. The Russian invaders are steadily leaving the temporarily occupied Crimea. This time, they decided to leave the peninsula by surface, rather than by dredging up the bottom somewhere in Sevastopol harbor,” he added.
- On the night of May 16-17, Ukrainian drones attacked a number of important Russian targets in the temporarily occupied Crimea, Novorossiysk, and Tuapse.
- On the evening of May 23, explosions were heard in different cities of the temporarily occupied Crimea. Russian-installed authorities reported a strike to an "empty agricultural facility" in Alushta.
