He shared the information on Espreso TV.

“Russian forces have been very active for the last two weeks. They are trying to break through our defense. If we take into account 40 attacks in the Pokrovsk sector, half of them were carried out by a unit of our brigade, sometimes even more. By 6 am today we have already eliminated 34 occupiers,” emphasized Tsehotskyi.

According to the officer with the 59th Brigade, Russian forces are constantly pulling up reserves, yet it has little effect. They do have some successes at the front, but this is achieved by a large number of casualties among their forces.

“Our main task is to prevent a contact battle. We have to destroy the enemy on the approaches, in the places of accumulation, to anticipate their intentions and what they are planning. This is the task of the group command, brigade and individual unit commanders. We constantly see where the enemy is planning to attack, what they are doing, where they are amassing forces, and what kind of equipment they have. There are means that allow us to predict and see the accumulation of forces in the enemy's deep rear,” explained Tsehotskyi.

The officer with the 59th Brigade also added that Russian troops have begun to actively use the "carousel" tactic in Zaporizhzhia region.

“The Russians are deploying armored vehicles in a circle to probably intimidate us and get us to receive false intelligence. That is, they resort to various manipulations, but we have already seen it all, and they can't come up with anything new," Tsehotskyi summarized.

  • On the morning of December 5, it was reported that Ukrainian forces regained control of Novyi Komar in the Donetsk region yesterday. Meanwhile, the Russian army has advanced in several directions.
  • On December 6, the Russian army made advances in Ukraine's Donetsk region, capturing four more settlements.
  • Resident of Myrnohrad, journalist of the Orbita TV channel and the Svoi online media outlet Natalia Biriukova noted that out of 40 settlements in the Pokrovsk community, three are already gray areas.
