“We didn’t feel the truce” — commander with Ukraine’s 92nd Brigade
Orest Pavlysko, commander of the tank battalion in Ukraine’s 92nd Separate Assault Brigade, said that the active phase of Ukraine’s defense is still ongoing in the Kharkiv region. Russian forces continue to attack with artillery, FPV drones, and small arms
He shared this during an interview on Espreso TV.
“As of today, the situation in our brigade’s area is under stable control. The enemy isn’t carrying out active assaults, but they are still hitting our positions with FPV drones and artillery. I can say that we haven’t felt any kind of truce—nothing has changed. The enemy continues to fire small arms, artillery, and FPV drones. Overall, the intensity has dropped; if we consider 100% as the full level of enemy fire, then now it’s about 50% less. Still, the active phase of our defense continues,” he said.
According to Orest Pavlysko, Russia is conducting combat coordination in its rear areas, so it’s possible that Russian assault operations could intensify again in the area where the 92nd Assault Brigade is stationed.
“In our direction, the occupiers are launching small infantry assaults. We haven’t seen heavy or light armored vehicles for a long time. A few motorcycles were spotted, but they were detected and destroyed early. Enemy foot groups usually consist of 4 to 7 soldiers, depending on their mission. What we’re seeing now looks more like troop rotation or replacement along the front line,” Pavlysko said.
