Venezuela proves justice cannot excuse breaking rules

This is all so wonderful. They humiliated Putin. Showed how to conduct a special military operation. Drove a dictator out of the country, and even threw him in prison, rather than making him Assad's and Yanukovych's neighbor

Why shouldn't an average Ukrainian rejoice, one who has never cared about laws or the rule of law? Here "our guys are winning" and beating Putin's friends. Well, that's great, right? And Maduro isn't legitimate either, so why not violate another country's sovereignty to get him? Especially since everything is already bad there anyway. And Maduro has always supported Russian aggression. He definitely won't be missed.

Moreover, we've been asking for so long for the U.S. to return to its role as world policeman. And here we go. They're returning. At least as a semi-world policeman.

But this is all very frightening.

"We wanted a policeman who upholds law and order. But what if it turns out to be a dirty cop from a Hollywood movie? A corrupt cop who loves money above all else (oil, rare earth metals...)? Isn't this exactly the kind of people Putin has known how to make deals with all his life? Isn't this exactly the kind of U.S. that suits him? One that is also finally losing its moral leadership."

Especially since Venezuela for Putin was more of an expense item than a source of income. And oil from there, even if everything goes well, won't flow that quickly. And the authenticity of those same record reserves still needs to be proven. Because they were claimed by Chavez-Maduro, who, like all communists, know how to make up fairy tales for adults.

"We will govern Venezuela" - this is frightening. "There are questions for Mexico" - also frightening. Because there's also Greenland. And in that same strategy document where it says the Western Hemisphere is the White House's backyard, it also says that the EU is a sinister formation that needs to be destroyed. And so does Putin, by the way. And we're actually heading there, by the way.

"You cannot justify breaking laws and rules with fairness. This has always ended badly. Always. And maybe it will be for the better for Venezuela, if it works out. Because it's not a fact that it will turn out exactly as Trump says now. But what will this mean for the whole world? Where will the new policeman go next? Who will he make deals with next?"

All these rules of the game weren't invented just for nothing. Sometimes according to the law is long and tedious. But it's the only path to sustainable development.

Therefore, the U.S. operation is striking. And frightening. And it's not a fact that it hurts Putin. Although Russians are having such a pleasant-to-watch hysteria right now. But it definitely strikes at an already fragile world.

And it definitely strikes at China. And it's still an open question what Beijing's response will be. For now, crazy Kim has launched another missile into the sea. He loves to stun fish. But is that all? Because there's Taiwan. And if Trump can do it, why can't Xi? Because Trump showed how it's possible. Showed that Putin is a loser because he couldn't do it in 3 days, but Trump could. And what if Xi thinks that he can too? How fragile will the whole world become then?
