Ukrainian forces strike two sanctioned Russian vessels carrying military equipment in Caspian Sea

The Command of the Special Operations Forces reported the information.

"A unit of the Special Operations Forces, in cooperation with the Black Spark insurgent movement, conducted a special operation resulting in damage to two Russian vessels near the coast of the Republic of Kalmykia in the Caspian Sea, which were transporting weapons and military equipment," the report says.

The vessels Kompozitor Rakhmaninov and Askar-Sarydzha came under attack. Earlier, the United States imposed sanctions against them for their involvement in the supply of military cargo between Iran and Russia.

"The Special Operations Forces continue to take asymmetric actions to undermine the offensive capabilities of the Russian army," the command summarized.
