Ukrainian forces destroy Russian air defense systems in Crimea on Christmas Eve
Servicemen with the Main Intelligence Directorate's Ghosts special unit destroyed several Russian air defense systems and other weapons in occupied Crimea on Christmas Eve
The Main Intelligence Directorate reported the information.
"Masters from the Main Intelligence Directorate's special unit Ghosts visited temporarily occupied Crimea again on the eve of Christmas and burned down a number of high-value targets belonging to the invading Russian forces," the statement says.
Ukrainian forces hit an S-300V surface-to-air missile system launcher, an RSP-6M2 radar system, as well as a Redut-221 command and staff vehicle and a 9S36M RPN radar station, which are part of the Buk-M3 air defense system.
In addition, a strike was carried out on a protective engineering structure for enemy weapons and military equipment. The Main Intelligence Directorate noted that two Russian servicemen were near the facility.
During the day of December 25, the Russian army lost at least 840 soldiers. Ukrainian defenders also destroyed 74 artillery systems and 3 enemy tanks.
