Ukrainian defense industry covers 30% of military needs — Zelenskyy

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated this during a conversation with media representatives, as reported by Ukrinform.

“Our domestic production is growing significantly. We are currently producing 30% of everything we need (referring to the needs of the army - ed.). This is not enough, but it is a substantial amount, and it is more than any individual European country is producing today,” Zelenskyy noted.

According to him, the Ukrainian defense industry will not stop and will continue to increase production.

“We will continue to expand production, primarily of drones, electronic warfare systems, and artillery,” the head of state added.

He also emphasized that even if the war ends, Ukraine will still remain next to its “neighbor”—Russia.

“We understand that as long as we are not in NATO, we will rely on ourselves and our partners, but relying on ourselves is the key,” Zelenskyy stressed.
